Seasons Greetings

There are only three more days until Christmas! I am so excited and can't wait to see Connor's face Christmas morning. He asked Santa for a blue bike and Santa is going to deliver! We leave tomorrow for Cape Haze as long as Connor and Addie can keep these colds of theirs at bay. We have had the worst luck with sicknesses around Christmas. Every. Year. So why should this one be different? I have hope....

We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!!

Wilson aka Elf on a Shelf

Connor gets the biggest kick out of this and rushes out to find him each morning. You just never know where this silly Elf will be next! ;)

For those not familiar with the Elf on a Shelf, you can read more about him here. He joined our family last year and Connor named him Wilson. He doesn't 'work' as well as he did last year but it's still fun.

Ugly Sweater Christmas Party

Saturday night we had our second annual Ugly Sweater Christmas party. It's fun when everyone participates and no one let us down this year! We also have a White Elephant gift exchange which is a lot of fun and we also vote for 'Ugliest Sweater.' This year's winner of a $20 gift card to ABC was Kristy!  Good food, good wine and a great friends.

A special thanks to my parents for babysitting the kiddos. They drove down and kept them at the Embassy Suites for the night. I think they had just as much fun as we did and were spoiled rotten as usual :)

Christmas: Part I

We celebrated an early Christmas with my parents last weekend as we will be in Cape Haze with John's family for the real deal. We had a delicious steak lunch and then we got down to business. You should have seen all the presents under the tree! Connor had fun with it and liked ALL of his gifts. Addie, on the other hand, was more interested in collecting all the bows off of the presents. After a little coaxing and a lot of help from her brother she got through them all. Her favorites were her new babies and baby stroller.

Afterwards we packed up the kids and took off for the Embassy Suites. BeBe and Grandpa were gracious enough to stay and watch the kids for the night so that John and I could have our second annual Ugly Sweater Christmas Party. I'll post more on that next.

On the way to the hotel, all tuckered out!

You can view all of my pictures here. Thank you BeBe and Grandpa for a wonderful (early) Christmas!!

Santa

We took the kids to see Santa this morning. We thought we would beat the crowd by getting there at 10:30 am. Not so much. We got in line and were told that we may get to see Santa before he takes his break at 12:30 pm. Ugh. We were already there though and weren't leaving without seeing him, so we waited. I stayed in line while John took the kids to the play area. At 12:20 we started to get a little worried. Luckily though they called us up and then took only one more kid behind us. Whew!

Connor did ok, Addie not so much. She was excited about it before and even after, but not during as you can see :-) She cried last year too so we were expecting the same. Maybe next year she'll be old enough to enjoy it. They did great though considering how long we had to wait. Connor told Santa he wanted a bike, superhero Lego's and a race car!

Wordless Wednesday

I saw this on another blog and thought it was a perfect fit for mine right now. I won't normally have words, I just wanted to introduce you to Wordless Wednesday! These are all pictures taken from my phone over the last week.
