Carnival

Christ the King put on their annual fund raising carnival a few weekends ago. We live pretty close so we packed up the kids and biked over. They had a blast and didn't want to leave. Addie was too little to ride anything last year but still couldn't ride on all the rides Connor went on. She probably would have loved them but she is still too short. Need to get the girl some wedges next year ;)

Doggy Days

I just stumbled across these pictures John took a few weeks ago. He was watching the kids while I went to see Spank! with the girls. They bought Zoey and Jackson doggy pizzas to celebrate their birthdays.

Hockey

Connor got to go to his first hockey game a few weeks ago with his Aunt Nancy. It was a late birthday gift and to say he had fun would be an understatement. It made me grin ear to ear as he told me all about it when he got home that night. From what they ate (hot dogs, cotton candy) to meeting Thunderbug, he had so much excitement in his voice.

Can you tell they are related? ;)

Nancy also got him his Lightning t-shirt that he is wearing in the pictures…that he has already worn at least 3 more times! If I did laundry more frequently he would probably wear it even more.

Thanks, Aunt Nancy!

Odds and Ends

I may have mentioned we've been busy lately ;) Here is a glimpse at what we've been up to over the last month...

Easter
Easter fell a few days after we moved. We didn’t go all out this year and the only egg hunt the kids participated in was at school, but the Easter bunny still found us :)

Gymnastics
Gymnastics has come to an end much to Addie’s disappointment but we had a scheduling conflict. We enrolled her in a parent/child swim class which is actually a little earlier on Saturday mornings, but Connor has T-Ball at the same time and I'd like to see him play. I just signed her up today for the summer session which starts mid-June. She can't wait :) Unfortunately I don't have great pictures of gymnastics since we're typically moving the whole time.

 Swimming
Connor and Addie are both in swimming classes now. Our pool isn’t quite open for business but we wanted them to start getting acquainted with the water sooner than later. Connor is doing great and seems to really enjoy it. His class is on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6:15 pm. Addie is hit or miss but her class is at 8:30 am on Saturday morning. I don’t know many people who enjoy swimming that early so I can't blame her. The weather has also not been cooperating much for her class so that is probably part of it. Last weekend was the first sunny and (slightly) warm morning and she enjoyed the entire class.

T-Ball
Connor is nearing the end of another T-Ball season. I’m still not sure he really likes the sport itself or just getting to play with his buddies but he enjoys it nonetheless. As long as he wants to do it we’ll keep signing him up.

(yes, we've since gotten his hair cut :p)

Play dates
We've had a lot of play dates in the last month and more to come this weekend! We have a great group of friends here :)

Haircuts!
Swimming brought to our attention how badly Connor needed another haircut as he was constantly having to brush it out of his face. So we went for haircuts and Addie decided she needed one too. She really didn't but I wasn't going to turn her down. If she was up for it, so was I :) She did great, it was like she had been getting haircuts for years. She is such a girly girl :)
