Our friend Susie had her housewarming party this past weekend. We'll dismiss that she moved in a year ago and instead focus on the fact she bought a condo in Daytona Beach!!! We were excited for the excuse to drive over. Not only would it be fun to see and hang out with all of our friends but we would get to bring the kids to the beach. I honestly can't remember when we last took Connor but I'm sure he doesn't remember it. Our goal was to leave the house around noon. We left at 1 pm. I've mentioned this before but let me reiterate the fact that Addison is not a fan of her car seat. She is getting better though! At first she gave us no issues and Connor actually fell asleep (it was his nap time after all). About 15 minutes into the ride though she decided she was hungry and she let us know it...loudly. In our efforts to keep her quiet so Connor could nap but continue on our drive, I maneuvered my way to the back seat, sort of, and fed her a bottle. Unfortunately our car is not big enough for both car seats and me. I was somewhere in between the backseat and the front seat if you want to try to picture it. It worked though and it soothed her to sleep. Of course she woke up the second we were off the interstate and cried for the rest of the way there. Thankfully it was only about 5 miles but it did wake up Connor. We were thankful he slept through the first part of it and got in a 45 min nap.
Susie's party was fun. I actually ran into an old sorority sister of mine from ZTA. She works with Susie...small world! Susie has an amazing condo with views of both the beach and the bay. After hanging at her place for awhile we headed down to the beach. Connor had so much fun playing in the sand and splashing in the water. The water wasn't quite warm enough to get all the way in. Addison also seemed to enjoy herself. She sat quietly for most of the time in her bouncer.
After the beach we said our goodbye's and then went to the McCully's condo to enjoy a little fun in their indoor pool. Connor impressed us by jumping in over and over. He even went underwater with Daddy! That shocked me as he doesn't really like to get his head wet in the bath. Since the pool was heated I thought Addison would enjoy her first dip in a pool. She absolutely loves her baths and this was no different. Thanks to John and Christine we were able to get a few pictures of our fun in the pool.

John bought a new toy a few days ago. Connor loves it! They enjoyed a couple of bike rides over the weekend as well.
We are looking forward to Addie's 2 month checkup this Friday. I can't believe she's already 2 months old!! I have a good idea of how much she weighs (over 10 lbs!) but it will be fun to hear what the doctor has to say and to find out what percentiles she is in. We're headed to Cape Haze for the holiday weekend. Wish us luck in our drive. It would normally take us about 2 1/2 hours. There is no chance of that this go around :p We hope you all have a fun and safe Memorial Day holiday!
