The kindergartners at Connor's school put on the best Valentine program yesterday. Connor kept saying they had a surprise in store for us but wouldn't tell us anything. All we knew was they were going to be singing and they had to wear red, white, pink or purple. It was seriously the cutest thing ever, my face couldn't have smiled bigger throughout the program :)
We got to mingle for a bit afterwards while the kids enjoyed juice and cookies. Connor showed us a painting he did that was hanging on the wall. I could tell how happy and proud of the show he was. He was also super excited his Aunt Nancy was there to watch! I'm still amazed at how good they all did. That was a lot to remember, especially with all the sign language!
We walked Connor back to his class afterwards and saw a bunch of "Love is..." notes on display in the window. Here is Connor's:
" Love is...helping people and taking care of my sister."
My heart just melted...how sweet is that?!
This morning the kids opened a few cards and small gifts from us and their grandparents and John got Addie and I flowers :) We were certainly showered with love! Grandma and Papa's package was homemade cookies for the kids to decorate; they had a lot of fun with that. Connor wants to donate the $5 BeBe and Grandpa sent to the American Heart Association as part of his schools fundraising campaign right now. I'd like to think we're raising a philanthropic child but it's likely the prize he gets for raising money :p

I hope you all find yourselves surrounded by love on this Valentine's Day (and everyday for that matter!)
And Happy Birthday, Uncle Andrew!!
